My name is Robin, and I am a 17-year-old French and Swedish citizen with a passion for Global politics and finance. Growing up in Vietnam and Singapore, I had the opportunity to experience different cultures and ways of life, which has broadened my perspective on the world. I've always been dedicated to my academics, and I'm proud to say that my hard work has resulted in high academic achievements. Currently, I reside in France, and I am an IB student at the International School of Nice. Overall, I'm an ambitious individual who values education and enjoys pursuing my passion for swimming. I started swimming at the age of 7 and fell in love with the sport immediately. When I was younger, I had the opportunity to swim all over Asia, which allowed me to see the importance of dedication and hard work in achieving success. Today, I compete regionally in the Alpes-Maritimes, where I continue to push myself to improve my skills and achieve my goals. However, Unfortunately due to bizarre injuries and problems with my immune system I have decided to stop swimming in my last year of high school, which was an extremely tough decision. |
I have always been fascinated by the complexities of international relations and the impact that they have on global economics. In my free time, I often research and write about various political issues, including China's growing influence, the ongoing conflict in Iraq, and the tense relationship between North Korea and the United States. My research has allowed me to gain a better understanding of these complex issues, and has fueled my passion for political and economic affairs. As a passionate student of international relations, I have participated in Model United Nations (MUN) for many years. This platform has allowed me to develop my skills in public speaking, diplomacy, and negotiation. Through MUN, I have had the opportunity to learn about different countries, cultures, and political systems. I am thrilled to say that I have been selected to be the chair in my next MUN, which is a great honor and an opportunity for me to further develop my leadership skills. My interest in finance and investing began when my brother, who just graduated from NYU Stern, introduced me to the world of finance. I became fascinated by the power of the stock market and how investors could create wealth through smart investments. Over time, I started researching markets, reading financial news, and experimenting with investing. I have learned a lot about market trends, stock valuation, and ESG investing. I hope to continue pursuing my interest in these areas in the future, and to use my knowledge to make a positive impact on the world around me.
